Since quite a few people have asked why I am seriously skeeved out by the direction of Doctor Who, let me leave you with this quote:

"There's this issue you're not allowed to discuss: that women are needy. Men can go for longer, more happily, without women. That's the truth. We don't, as little boys, play at being married - we try to avoid it for as long as possible. Meanwhile women are out there hunting for husbands.

The world is vastly counted in favour of men at every level - except if you live in a civilised country and you're sort of educated and middle-class, because then you're almost certainly junior in your relationship and in a state of permanent, crippled apology. Your preferences are routinely mocked. There's a huge, unfortunate lack of respect for anything male." -Stephen Moffat

Yeah, we've entrusted a show watched by children to someone who actually thinks this seriously.  Someone who almost didn't hire Karen Gillan because he thought she looked "dumpy" until he saw those 'great legs of hers' (ever wondered why she was a kiss-o-gram girl, in miniskirts?).

I can only turn my brain off for so long before I see his attitude pervading into the program.  A girl is at fault when a man get's distracted by the way she dresses (funny, that's the same reasoning the man who raped a friend of mine said afterwards), a girl needs to be married off, because they're clingy.... women only ever do things because of men.

Look, Doctor Who has never been perfect, and there have always been issues.  But it's never been stated so openly and nonchalantly before.

Hello. I'm late to the party. I'd really like to sort of, um, step in here, with all of my incredible lack of any sort of gravitas or anything, just being a timid teenager on the internet who can't help but step in where she shouldn't.

Why did you just... fling out that quote without doing any sort of thinking? Because, um... [link]
There are other links, but it's late at night and I'm tired, so I'd like to just say that I think it's kind of awful that a writer's reputation has been smeared completely by this completely out of context quote which was about a character in some tv show. I mean, look at how amazingly popular you are on dA. Especially in the Doctor Who fandom! You're amazing, you really are, and loads and loads of people will have seen this journal. Which is... terrible. Because I bet none of them will bother to look up that quote, and will just assume that you are right, because you are a bit internet famous and your watchers trust you. And... I don't know. From the internet, you seem like a pretty cool person?

Basically, someone I greatly admire has been taken out of context by bad journalism, and now it's really upsetting me to see the huge outcry from a whole lot of people who just... didn't bother to even check their facts. Nobody even asked him until people were already swearing at him and sending him hatemail. That's just not a nice thing to happen :(

I know you have other concerns about the series, I've read you detailing them in the journal and the comments, but... I just sort of hope that you could at least say that you were wrong about the quote, maybe? I'm so sorry if I'm offending you, and I'm going to retreat back to my corner of the internet, but this is just not something I can keep quiet about. Bad writer or good writer, he's still a person... Sorry. Bye! ~Kuna
