Milk Punch Recipe by JesIdres Milk Punch Recipe by JesIdres
This is the (in)famous Milk Punch that has ended up causing a bit of silliness on more than one occasion. Taught to me by my father (although I've altered it slightly), it supposedly used to be the drink of choice for Harvard football games- the vanilla and half & half hide the bourbon inside.

This recipe guide was created when two of my friends were moving away. Inspired, I finally created a hard copy of the recipe in typical me fashion. This is a scan of one of the copies- the original was accidently destroyed in a rainstorm shortly after.

The second panel of ingredients, for those who can't read my handwriting: 1 quart of fat free half & half, 2/3 cup of Confectionary Sugar, 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract, 1 cup (or as much as you want) bourbon or So. Co.

The characters acting this out are: Myself, Jessica, James (with chibi me and Jessica), Fedora Frankie and Jack. The fedora comments references my now infamous hat (as seen on TV!)

Drink responsibly.

lmao

I laugh at the idea of half & half fat free milk. :lmao: Half and half milk means that they only took off 50% of the fat that rose to the surface of the milk when they let it sit for a while. :lmao: Oh grand corporate America... What will you think up next to satate the idiot dieters?

Sweet recipe though. I tried it and this is now my favorite drink.

Again, top-notch. Wish I could write a recipe so good-looking. Or funny, at that.

Take a shotglass. Mix about half Jameson Irish Whiskey with about half Bailey's Irish Cream. Layer it in the shotglass so the Bailey's is on the bottom. Take a pint glass and fill it 3/4 of the way with Guinness. Let the beer settle, and then carefully drop the shotglass into the beer and chug it all like there's no tomorrow. If you don't drink it fast enough, it will curdle and taste worse and worse, so down it quick!

This one's known as an "Irsih Car Bomb". Specially for St. Patrick's day. Not my idea, before some Irishman knifes me.

Although I've seen them many of times, with my crowd of friends we end up with sake bombs more often. That's when you have a glass of sapporo beer, with two chopsticks on top, and resting on the chopsticks is a shot of Sake. You slam the table, causing the shot glass to drop in the beer, and then you drink it as fast as possible.
God bless the drunkards.

So long as you don't swallow the shot glass...

I know a similar recipe with vodka and vanilla ice cream (and some other stuff I don't remember now) and they call it "cold potato soup", although I really don't think it looks like that.

We've got a similar thing here - but we don't use bourbon, we use sherry. Otherwise it's about the same. It may sound horrible, but it's quite nice, actually. Great picture!

Yeah, I've also seen the recipe call for Brandy, with a touch of nutmeg. I think this is a pretty universal "I wanna get drunk but don't want to taste the alcohol/look like a lush" drink. Yay for drinks that break national boundries!

A very good point - I hadn't thought of it like that! And hurrah indeed.
