Lost in the Woods by JesIdres Lost in the Woods by JesIdres
It's been a very long time since I've just painted a scene in my head, and a very long time since I've tried to digital paint without a hard sketch to work from. I'm a wacom wuss.

Sort of had this image in my head the last two days or so. Not perfect, but I'm becoming easily frustrated with my artwork, and the fact I was willing to work on this for 45 minutes straight is the longest I've managed in a while.

Ehn, why am I writing this? You all just come for my fandom stuff anyhow.

I love both your fandom deviations and your non-fanom deviations, especially this one. It's an amazing picture/scene, so detailed. I can't believe it took you 45 minutes (unless I've misunderstood you?) Love it!

Not all of us just come for the fandom. Your fandom is fantastic, but this is just beautiful. There's so much emotion in this, it's wonderful. I love it!!

This is absolutely beautiful Lucy. I am constantly in awe of how great of an artist you are. It definiately has a very dark feeling to it and is... wow.

Would you mind if I wrote a story to go along with it??

She walks between the shadows and the light, unsure of where she belongs, and this causes her grief. So she keeps walking, hoping that someday she will find herself on one side or the other.

That was just my impression. Art speaks to each person differently. It is a poignant piece, and beautiful.

I like the lighting and the fuzzyness. Gives her a feel of almost nonthereishness, which I'm sure is what you are current;y feeling. *hug* It's good.

True, i came for the fandom stuff, but it is the other stuff that really is important, It is the stuff that is you, that is why you are an artist. And it is lovely.

I like it...the vagueness in lines has a very dreamy quality, almost like a nightmare where you're lost and no matter how long you walk, you suddenly realize you're going in circles. And seconding the, "Came for the fanart, stayed for the everything" contingent. :)

Awesome!
It reminds me the time of when I went into Delemere forest and got eated by a friendly friendly deer...

And I don't come here for your fandom stuffs. I've come to steal your cake.

I'm not here JUST for your fandom stuff. Considering your not-fandom stuff looks like this.

This is excellent, and just on the right side of creepy and spooky. And I really wish I could do digital art like this...it's so great.

Oooh I love it :wow: and the use of only one or two colours is very effective  the shadows add to the feeling of...lostness? being lost?

And I make an effort to always comment on peoples original art work. I know what it feels like to have people just watch you for fandom stuff. I dont do fanart any more, just draw my OC. Out of 70 odd watchers I'm lucky if I get 10 of them comment me. So yeah, I get what you mean there.

Great colour scheme too.

It's a well done piece with so many meanings behind it. You did a job with blending the colors and making the trees visible in the dark forest.

I really like how you brought two trees foreward and made them almost pure shadow, it gives a lot of depth to the picture instead of making it look like she's just leaving the woods. Also, full viewed it, awesome folds in the hoodie and pants. Very cool use of the lighting to give it the 'creepy and I'm lost in this' atmosphere.
