Off the coast of Georgia, in 1720, there is small island called the Jamaica Inn. Named after the inn on the island of the same name, it's the place where America and Europe's nobility come to relax and get away. Own by a woman (rumored to be either a eccentric noble or a powerful witch), she's engaged to a former privateer who now runs a modest shipping company. But his ship is missing in a squall. Can a single light, fueled out of love, guide him home?
A needed break to flesh out a new setting for my archetypes, Jess and James. And try out some new techniques in digital painting. 5 hours of painting.
Anyways, I love the back story as well as the picture. It's so interesting the way you manage to take the same characters, toss them into a new setting, give them a new story line, and still make them endearing to the point where I want to hear more.
The picture combined with the story sparked a random recognition of a Tori Amos song I adore called Jamaica Inn... *cough* If I'm not relating everything to Who or DT, I'm finding random connections to Tori. >.>; I need to be committed.
*runs off singing "the sexiest thing is trust~"*
