Today I go to the signing for Thud at Harvard Square. I decided I wanted to give him a picture- I abuse his characters enough, I feel I owe him. I'm horribly nervous- this isn't my best work, but I tried. The quote is my all favorite line in Thud; but no worries, it's not spoilerific. Just confirming a little bit we've all known. So don't worry, you non-US folks.

I took 4 hours on the line work/idea, 4-5 hours for coloring. Pilot fineliner, TRIA, Prismacolor, watercolor pencils and one copic marker (I was desperate for browns- stupid uniforms!)

I have to say if I get my knackers up, I am going to ask if there are puppies in Carrot and Angua's future. But I doubt I'll have the courage....

EDIT!: HE SAID YEEEEEEEEEES! YESYESEYESYES!!!!!

And I did give it to him! And he liked it! He's putting it on his Fridge.

One of the things that stands out about Carrot and Angua is how amazingly normal they are, despite their extraordinary backgrounds, world, environment and, possibly, destinies.

This is going on my faves list as it manages to show the characters as read them without exaggeration or fan interpretation of anything.

Oh, and the news from Patrician Pratchett is good too!
