A little while back, requested a shippy Carrot and Angua picture (I think this was before she saw Bunny Food, but I dunno). Happily loving the idea, I set about to do it, but realized a problem- any of the standard form of shippyness I drew didn't feel in character for these two very touch and go people- any real tenderness would be be done in private if done at all. So I tried to ponder a moment when Carrot and Angua would be so close without degrading it to porn or utter sillyness ala Bunny Food. The first decent image to form was after an extra tiring shift, Carrot might sit down and fall asleep, and Angua would follow. One thing I like about this picture is that it seems at first that only Angua is the one making the effort to be close- but hidden to the side is Carrot's hand pulling her closer in. He loves her, he just doesn't show it the way others might understand.

This is rather rough, but I kept erasing and redrawing every time I looked down, so it was a tad bit scattered. To save it from the scraps I threw on some color. Originally they were in a corner of the crash room, with Vimes' shadow from the doorway off to the side. He would probably be thinking something like "I'll be damned if I say 'aw'" or something equally Vimesy.
